David Hyde Pierce, Dr. Niles from “Fraiser,” Puts Lavish Digs on the Market

David Hyde Pierce, the American comedian of the rather haughty-sounding name, is selling his truly ravishing Los Angeles manse for $7.5 million. The home is a Spanish Colonial-style beauty, and going by the pictures that have accompanied the listing, it’s more than worth the price. Richard Cassese and Raphael Barragan, two agents at Engle & Volkers, Los Angeles, have been charged with captaining the sale.

Pierce, a Yale graduate who studied English literature (after losing his keenness on becoming a concert pianist), made his name by giving life to Dr. Niles on the popular sitcom “Fraiser.” Dr. Niles, the psychiatrist Pierce played for over a decade, was infamous his snobbish pursuits. But even such a fussy character would be marvelously pleased with the plum abode in which Pierce made his home for nine years.

In total, the house has 8,184 square feet of lavish living space. That’s more than enough for seven comfortable bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a library with floor-to-ceiling shelving, and a wine vault. The kitchen is a glistening splendor in its spaciousness. Other details include a brick chimney, striking red tile floors, and wrought-iron railing. There’s even a stained glass skylight and city view in the master bedroom. An air of hefty grandeur pervades throughout, but it is not overbearing thanks to all the natural light that filters in from the home’s numerous windows. These last also serve to frame, rather distinctly, the outdoor panorama. In all, it’s a very finely constructed home. David Hyde Pierce married his long-time love, Brian Hargrove, in 2008.

Mary Kay Ash’s Pink Mansion For Sale

The bright pink mansion that belonged to Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay makeup, is on the market for $3.3 million. Located in Dallas, Texas, this 11,800 square foot home sits on nearly an acre of land and provides plenty of luxury amenities and features. The asking price is modest, considering that the home first went on the market in 2007 for 5.7 million.

The beautiful manor features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and seven fireplaces. The master bedroom alone is enormous, boasting 320 square feet. The home also offers landings and sweeping ceilings, including plenty of wall space for expensive artwork. The hot pink mansion also features a giant pool, along with a cabana, cleaning system, and a separate Jacuzzi. The outdoor pool area features large Roman columns, exquisite tile, and several beautiful statues to complete the classical atmosphere.

The hot pink mansion also features unique wood carvings, 40 inch ceilings with geothermal heat and air conditioning. After Mary Kay moved out of the mansion, it was populated by a new owner who adorned the home with oriental rugs and fine antiques.

The pink hue resembles Mary Kay’s company; it is the trademark color and representatives of the company who demonstrated great performance would receive pink cars. The color pink is not only painted on the outside of the home, but also inside, including a pink quartz toilet. And although Barbie might be proud, the unique hue is the reason realtors have had to reduce the asking price throughout the years.

Mary Kay’s cosmetic company was launched in 1963. Today, Mary Kay Inc. is a giant empire, globally renowned for its success in makeup and cosmetics. According to Mary Kay, she has run her company guided by the Golden Rule to “Do unto others are you would have done to yourself,, a rule that has also guided her many philanthropic efforts. Nearly 40 years after establishing her company, Mary Kay Ash died in 2001. Her home reflects her attitude of living to the fullest.

Whitney Houston’s Mansion on For Sale

Whitney Houston’s mansion, and the place where, according to the real estate ad, she “married, lived, and loved,” is on the market with an asking price of $1.75 million. Located in Mendham Township, New Jersey, the 12,561-square-foot manor is now being shown to potential buyers with proof of at least $1.75 in liquid assets or loan pre-approvals.

Much like its previous owner, there is nothing ordinary about this contemporary-style home. A must-see for car collectors, Houston’s mansion boasts a four-car garage as well as motor court parking with room for 15 more vehicles. Potential homeowners will appreciate the secluded location as well as the luxurious amenities. Set on a serene, gated five-acre lot, the home offers five bedrooms and five bathrooms, ideal for families and other celebrities. The mansion also features beautiful tile floors, plenty of large windows, and unique curved walls. And don’t forget the outdoors! The home also features a swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

While the home boasts beautiful architecture and luxurious amenities, the real estate ad is being scrutinized by the media for trying to sell the home in light of the singer’s death. After all, the mansion was the place where Houston endured her drug addictions and an abusive marriage to Bobby Brown. It was also the set for the 2005 TV show “Being Bobby Brown,” which featured the couple. According to the real estate ad, the home offers potential buyers more than a property, but the “Incredible star studded history.”

Whitney Houston died earlier this month at age 48. She was found in a Beverly Hills hotel room submerged in a bathtub. She was a talented singer, actress and producer known as one of the world’s best-selling music artists. She has received two Emmy Awards, six Grammy’s, 33 American Music Awards, and 30 Billboard Music Awards.

Take Advantage of Virtual Office Space

Imagine how it would be to have Long Beach mail service delivering your business mail to your home even though it was addressed to an upscale office building in the city. You may not need a big office for your new business just yet, but do not want your clients to know that you are working out of your home. Having people know where you live is sure to create some type of trouble. You want to be able to not worry about having people come to your home in regards to business.

Having a virtual office space means that to the rest of the world, at least your customers, your business has an office in a very nice office building. Your mail gets delivered there and the routed to your home, you have a phone in the building somewhere that gets routed to your home phone and you can have meetings there. Most virtual offices have a certain number of hours you have the physical use of the office every month. Set up the hours you want the office at the beginning of the month, or weekly and set any appointments for those times.

If you have a virtual office in San Diego voicemail service may be part of your monthly plan. Any time you do not want to, or are unable to, answer your home phone in a business manner, you can have the voicemail service give a statement saying you are currently unavailable but will get back to them as quickly as possible. It is almost like having a receptionist.

The Most Expensive Homes on the Market

Few castles can compare to the beauty and grandeur of the Palace of Versailles, so when billionaire David Saperstein decided to build his mansion inspired by the glorious palace, it joined the list of the largest and most expensive $100M-plus properties in the nation.

Nestled in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Holmby Hills, Fleur de Lys was built in 2002 for Saperstein and his wife. The home took five years to build. However, after Saperstein’s publicized affair with the Swedish nanny, the couple went through a much-publicized divorce which left the wife with the entire 35,000-square-foot mansion.

Set on five acres of land, Fleur de Lys features 100 rooms, including 12 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a ballroom, courters for 10 staff members, two kitchens, a screening room, and a three-bedroom caretaker’s home. The mansion also boasts marble walls, limestone floors, and rare antiques from the time of both Louis XIV and Louis XV. The property went on the market in 2007, then off in 2009, and it is now listed again for the original asking price of $125 million. The home went on the market the same day that the Spelling Manor was bought, another mega mansion in the same neighborhood with the asking price of $125 million. Rumors are floating around that Fleur de Lys attracted attention from Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon back in 2009; however it has yet to sell.

Not surprisingly, the home that just might be the largest mansion in the U.S., is also modeled after Versailles. Billionaire mega-developer David Siegel and his wife originally planned to create their dream home but now, due to experiencing blows from the housing market, they are forced to sell the property for $100 million finished, and $75 million unfinished. When done, the home will span 90,000 square feet and will feature 10 kitchens and many other extravagant amenities.
