David Hyde Pierce, the American comedian of the rather haughty-sounding name, is selling his truly ravishing Los Angeles manse for $7.5 million. Richard Cassese and Raphael Barragan, two agents at Engle & Volkers, Los Angeles, have been charged with captaining the sale.

Pierce, a Yale graduate who studied English literature (after losing his keenness on becoming a concert pianist), made his name by giving life to Dr. Niles on the popular sitcom “Fraiser.” Dr. Niles, the psychiatrist Pierce played for over a decade, was infamous his snobbish pursuits. But even such a fussy character would be marvelously pleased with the plum abode in which Pierce made his home for nine years.

Billionaire mega-developer David Siegel and his wife originally planned to create their dream home but now, due to experiencing blows from the housing market, they are forced to sell the property for $100 million finished, and $75 million unfinished.
