Tiger Woods is known for his spectacular talent, prodigal wealth, and extravagant affairs. By contrast, Elin Nordegren, the Swedish woman who until an August 2011 divorce was his wife for nearly six years, has been characterized in public by her reserved demeanor and abstention from personal scandal, well, at least anything excluding the 2009 revelations that her famous husband had over a hundred extra-marital affairs. Aside from that headline-grabbing heyday, there’s been nary an indecorous deed to attribute to her.

That’s why, when Nordegren decided to raze the $12 million mansion she purchased in March 2011 to rebuild a nearly identical home, tongues (and keyboards) started wagging. Was it not an obvious sign of an incorrigible frivolousness that had seeped into the blonde beauty’s soul after receiving the windfall that was her divorce settlement?
That’s probably hard to prove, but what is known is that the demolished home was not up to current building codes in terms of wind-loads, or, in more common parlance, it might not have withstood the pounding of a hurricane. The land Nordegren bought is in Semiole Landing, an exclusive gated community of North Palm Beach, Florida, a mere ten miles away from Tiger Wood’s Jupiter Island residence. The new home, built on the same Semiole Landing beachfront location, will be a modern version of the impressive Colonial-style structure that was leveled in December. Florida’s Martin County’s Habitat for Humanity was given a month to rescue anything of value from the mansion before it was torn down. It was during this time that termite and carpenter ant infestations were discovered in the mansion.
According to uncovered building plans, the Swede’s new house will have nine bedrooms, double kitchens and double living rooms, a pool, grotto, and two jacuzzis. Nordegren will inhabit the completed home with her two infant children. After the divorce, Nordegren was given full custody of Sam and Charlie, the daughter and son she had with Tiger Woods.

What a dream come true it would be to someday own a one of the Florida waterfront properties that are available. Wake up every morning, have a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice straight from your own orange tree, and sit and watch the water all day. Or play into your childhood fantasies of being a pirate or a treasure hunter and own a piece of treasure coast real estate and live Robinson Crusoe style, fishing for your meals every day and living the simple life.
Florida has such a wide variety of properties that you can live out whatever fantasy lifestyle you can think of. Maybe you have finally made it big, and are looking for that big beautiful home that you imagine movie stars and famous musicians to live in. Well then there is a plethora of beautiful Florida luxury real estate and you can find that dream home you have always wanted. Spend the day out on your yacht, eat fancy food, or hit up the Vero Beach golf course for some much needed relaxation after a hectic day at work.
If this doesn’t sound appealing enough as it is, remember that, any day, the sun, sand and surf is not far off and you can make a beach escape when you need it the most. Oh what a life that would be. Live with no worries. No shirt, no shoes, no problem. Think about it for a second. How rough can life really be when you leave at the beach?
Donald Trump continues to get his name in the headlines. He started out in the 1960s by taking it upon himself to turn a profit on an apartment complex in Cincinnati that had been foreclosed. He succeeded and left Ohio for the soon-to-be shinier glories of Manhattan. At the time, the financial crisis of the ‘70s had bestowed neglect and cheerlessness on much of the island’s real estate. But these dire circumstances would prove advantageous and immensely lucrative to The Donald, as he is more-or-less affectionately called. Trump would come to special public prominence a decade later thanks to his 1987 revitalization of Central Park fixture, Wollman Rink.

The properties he subsequently purchased through his company magnified his public profile, but his personal real estate deals have also garnered public praise and abuse. That’s something Trump seems to relish, especially because it benefits his business. Multi-million dollar licensing fees, anyone?
725 Fifth Avenue, or Trump Tower, is probably the first place Donald Trump calls home. The Tower’s three uppermost floors (or highest 30,000 square feet) comprise his apartment. He shares his building with one Saudi prince — with a correspondingly single floor allotted to him — and each year’s reigning beauty queen from the Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe contests. Less prominent figures, of course, are also free to snap up a room or two of the building for themselves. Forbes magazine offers a $300 million value estimate of the property which has a Gucci store on location.
Other Trump properties of note:
- Maison de L’Amitié in Palm Beach, Florida: Purchased by Trump in 2004 for $41 million; renovated with $25 million (at Trump’s behest) by “The Apprentice” Season Three winner Kendra Todd; and sold for $95 million in 2010.
- Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida: A $10 million, 1985 Trump purchase that would host Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley’s wedding celebration.
- Seven Springs Estate in Bedford, New York: Bought in 1995 for $7.5 million and site of one of Trump’s planned golf courses; residents objected and Trump turned it instead into a luxury homes development project — currently on hold.
- Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California: This Trump estate is selling for $12 million.
There you have it folks — just another diverse investment portfolio of the rich and famous. And long-form or short-form birth certificates, even if Trump doesn’t make it into the Oval Office, he’s likely to continue making headlines and excellent profits on personal and company-owned real estate deals.

Buying a property along Vero Beach in Florida could be one of the best decisions to make in a lifetime. The beaches in Florida are considered to be one of the bests in the world. Often called the state of sunshine, Florida has warm climate so having the longest coastline across the United States is just a good combo. In buying a property in the renowned Treasure Coast real estate area in Florida, hiring a good real estate agent is a good idea.
Vero visual tours are offered to homebuyers who want to see the real estate properties in Vero Beach. Going for a visual tour is necessary to have a personal and closer look at each probable property before buying it. Also, homebuyers will have a chance to see the neighborhood and personally pick the home, which is perfect for the whole family.
If a visual tour is not possible, Vero Beach virtual tours are also available. A virtual tour is a recreation of an existing location using video images and other multimedia elements like narration, sound effects, text and music. During the virtual tour, a variety of video clips and photos are shown to present each part and aspect of the property and the neighborhood, especially the highlights and the best features of the area. But unlike the visual tour, the virtual tour can only be limited to what homebuyers would like to see or what real estate agents would like to show to sell a property. But nevertheless, it is still a good way to grasp a visual idea of what the Vero Beach real estate properties look like.
You might recall back in 2007 that Tiger Woods and his then-wife Elin purchased a $35 million property in Jupiter, Florida. However, they didn’t move into it at the time, as they planned “major renovations” for the estate. $15 million and one costly divorce later, Woods has the place to himself, as Yahoo! Sports reports that the work is complete and Woods has a $50 million bachelor pad.

Aerial pictures taken by Jeff Lichtenstein Realty show many of the additions to the original 9,729-square foot estate on a 12-acre complex. This includes a 6,400-square-foot gym/media room/bar, an elevator, a reflecting pond and a slim lap pool. As you might expect, golf plays a major role in the layout, with several golf practice facilities located on the premises. Lichtenstein noted there appears to be different tee box for Woods to practice his driver, irons or short game.
One interesting element noted by Lichtenstein is that the house is set far inland, which is different than most homeowners in Florida who want their homes to be built directly on the water. Lichtenstein speculated that Woods wanted his practice facility to be closer to the water – suggesting that he’ll be spending a lot of time on the golf links in the coming years.
