Golf Champ Bubba Watson Selling N. Carolina Luxury Home

This year’s golf Masters champ is the thirty-three-year-old Floridian Bubba Watson. Winning his first Masters Tournament is not the only big change underway in his life right now. Along with his wife Angie Watson, the current world number-four has adopted a son and placed his summertime lakeside home in Lexington, North Carolina on the market. The address is 178 Foxglove Lane and the home’s being sold for $1.45 million.

Bubba, whose birth name is Gerry Lester Watson, Jr., put what once served as a summertime residence for sale in February. The agent responsible for the listing is Tim Taylor; he works at his namesake real estate business, Tim Taylor Realty. The three-story house sits on high ground and overlooks North Carolina’s second largest lake, High Rock Lake.

This beautiful home encompasses 5,000 square feet and has views of the grand lake from three sides. Inside its lofty accommodations one finds four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two indoor kitchens. There’s also an outdoor kitchen, a heated pool, and a private pier. A guesthouse/staff quarters sits above a spacious three-car garage. The athletic couple — Angie was a standout basketball player — is leaving the house behind because they must reside in Orland, Fla., until their son’s adoption process is finalized.
